El-Sabban Kashf is a direct-press Viognier from high-altitude vineyards in Deir al-Aasha’ir, Bekaa Valley (1,250 m). Practicing organic, dry-farmed fruit is fermented and aged in stainless steel, bottled unfined and unfiltered for a pure, mineral expression of the grape.
About the Producer:
El-Sabban is a nomadic, négociant-style Lebanese project crafting natural, terroir-driven wines in collaboration with local cellars across Lebanon.
Grape/Variety:
100% Viognier
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Pale straw with a light golden tint.
Aroma: Fresh apricot and white-peach, citrus zest, blossom and a touch of spring honey.
Palate: Dry and stainless-steel crisp, showing juicy stone-fruit, citrus lift and a subtle saline/limestone edge; clean, textural finish.
Vol.:
13%
Country and Origin:
Lebanon – Bekaa Valley (Deir al-Aasha’ir)
Food Pairing:
Serve at 10–12 °C with mezze (hummus, muhammara), grilled halloumi, herbed chicken, fattoush, lemony shrimp, or soft-rind cheeses.
Why People Love It:
High-altitude freshness meets Viognier’s stone-fruit perfume. Minimal intervention (unfined/unfiltered, very low SO₂) keeps the profile pure, vibrant, and versatile at the table.
What the Critics Say:
“A just-ripe Viognier, presenting notes of apricots, peaches, citrus and spring honey… a dry wine with no oak contact… a pure varietal showcase.” – 209 Lebanese Wine
