Domaine Alexandre Bain “Terre d’Obus” VDF is a striking natural expression of 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Pouilly‑Fumé soils. Whole-cluster pressed and fermented in concrete, it’s aged on fine lees, unfiltered and unsulphured, yielding a richly aromatic and mineral-driven white wine reflective of biodynamic hillside vineyards growing on clay-limestone.
About the Producer:
Alexandre Bain took over his family’s Pouilly-Fumé vineyards in 2007 after studying in Beaune. Farming biodynamically and working with horses, he favors late harvests and low-intervention winemaking—no added sulphites, no filtration—creating wines of purity and terroir honesty.
Grape/Variety:
100% Sauvignon Blanc
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Pale straw with vibrant clarity.
Aroma: Rich and floral, combining hazelnut, acacia, hawthorn blossom, citrus zest, and honeyed exotic fruit.
Palate: Energetic and textured, showcasing bright orchard fruit, spiced apple compote, golden plum, crushed stone minerality, and a crisp citrus finish backed by electric acidity.
Vol.:
13.5%
