Kanz is a lively red wine from Heya Wines in Lebanon’s Batroun region. Crafted using whole cluster carbonic maceration of Grenache (60%) and Syrah (40%), it’s fermented and aged in amphorae, offering a fresh, fruity, and textural profile with natural minimal intervention.
About the Producer:
Heya Wines is a female-led project started in 2022 by Claudine Lteif and Michelle Chami in the mountains of Batroun. From vine to bottle, they manage every step—focusing on organic farming, minimal intervention winemaking, and supporting gender equality in agriculture.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Bright ruby-red with a slight hazy texture.
Aroma: Bursting with red plum, cherry, dried flower, and a touch of white pepper spice.
Palate: Juicy and medium-bodied, featuring vibrant red fruits, chalky minerality, gentle tannins, and a spicy-fresh finish. Best served lightly chilled to highlight its refreshing quality.
