Natural wine has no uniform definition. It is a general term used to describe artisanal wine made using organically and/or biodynamically grown hand-picked grapes which are vinified with little or no intervention. Winemakers often rely on indigenous yeast to catalyse natural fermentation, avoiding the use of any chemicals, additives or sulphites.

The result is wine which is alive, energetic, vibrant and unexpected – a welcomed contrast to the industrial practices of the wine industry.

Fattoria San Lorenzo

Tasting Notes
a refreshing and informal white from the Marches, vinified in stainless steel tanks. It expresses a simple and linear personality, with a bouquet of ripe pear, wisteria and fresh almonds and a fresh, flowing, sapid and mineral sip

Terroir
The "di Gino" wine is obtained from white berried grapes from vines with about 20 years of age. In the vineyard and in the cellar the philosophy is coherent and is that of a targeted but not prevaricating interventionism, therefore the management of the vineyard is in a biological regime integrating biodynamic practices while in the cellar the alcoholic fermentation takes place spontaneously in steel tanks. Small addition of sulfur dioxide before bottling.

Vinification

  • The grapes hand harvested.
  • Fermented and aged in steel on the lees
  • Grapes co-ferment with indigenous yeasts.
  • No filtration.
  • No fining.
