SILVER MEDAL: Concours Mondial de Bruxelles
90 / 100 Wine Enthusiast
The colour is an intense ruby red with faintly garnet tones. The initial aromatic sensations are sweetish and vanilla-like, typical of wines matured in barriques. The clean, ethereal bouquet then highlights Sangiovese’s spicy notes. On the palate, we again find very well- integrated oak which, however, soon gives way to hints of wild berry fruit preserve and to that nuance of spices we perceived on the nose.
Country & Region
Italy - Tuscany - Chianti Classico DOCG
85% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon
Best enjoyed with very flavorful dishes, such as tomato-based sauces, mushroom ravioli, beef or pork roasts, and game meats from venison to pheasant. It is also excellent with mature cheeses.
We recommend serving red wines at 16-18°C (60-65°F). This can be achieved by opening the wine and putting it into the fridge 15 min before serving it.
